SMOBIO's Reverse Transcriptase
Can the reverse transcriptase RP1000 be diluted to one quarter for general use?
Probably, but it depends on the quantity and quality of RNA that individuals use. In most cases, the recommended amount of enzyme delivers the best result. Diluted usage may vary its effectiveness.
What is the difference between ExcelRT™ Reverse Transcription Kit (RP1300) and ExcelRT™ Reverse Transcription Kit II (RP1400)?
ExcelRT™ Reverse Transcription Kits contain all components to synthesize high quality first strand cDNA. The components in ExcelRT™ Reverse Transcription Kit (RP1300) and ExcelRT™ Reverse Transcription Kit II (RP1400) are the same.
The components in RP1300 are separated. This make RP1300 more flexible to fit different experimental requirements.
Selected components in RP1400 are pre-mixed. This make RP1400 more convenient to use.
SMOBIO's High Fidelity DNA Polymerase
What are the differences between SMO-HiFi™ (TF1000) and G-HiFi™ (TF3000)?
Both SMO-HiFi™ (TF1000) and G-HiFi™ (TF3000) are new genetically modified, recombinant DNA polymerase with fidelity 70 times higher than Taq DNA polymerase during amplification.
The accelerated extension rate of G-HiFi™ DNA Polymerase (TF3000) is attained through a unique combination with an elongation enhancer.
Furthermore, TF3000, equipped with an optimized 5x G-HiFi buffer, exhibits the ability to efficiently synthesize long target (up to 40 kb from lambda DNA) and GC-rich DNA templates that are typically challenging to amplify.
Does ExcelTaq™ Klen-Taq DNA Polymerase (TK1000) product have chemical modification?
It is without any chemical modification. Moreover, the proof-reading activity of Klen-taq products is thrice that of a normal Taq DNA polymerase.

Are there any user manual or specification that supports the 5X PCR Master mix?
Yes, please check the user manual sent with the product or download it from SMOBIO’s website.
Do you provide 2X PCR Master Mix for PCR? There are many brands that provide 2X PCR Master Mixes.
Due to the need of the market, some of the PCR master mix will be provided in 2X format too.
Why is the size of the PCR product slightly different from prediction when used with TP1260 for PCR reaction?
It is due to variation of the fluorescent dye/DNA ratio. If less DNA was bond with too much fluorescent dye, the DNA would migrate slower in the electrophoresis and presented a larger size than expected. TP1260 therefore is not suitable for running such experiments needed to distinguish subtle differences.
Does SMOBIO PCR master mix uses hot-start?
For now except the real time PCR master mix, the other PCR master mixes does not use hot-start.
